The Groanbox Boys are a London-based American duo who specialise in boot-stomping sweat-dripping old timey American folk music. Their self titled debut album was recorded, edited, mixed, and co-produced by Yann, along with Michael Ward-Bergman. After the recording I even remixed a few of the tracks, which can be found on the Groanbox website.

We were lucky enough to record in a 1930's Art Deco concert hall in Harefield, Middlesex. It was quite an experience.

Blues in Britain gave the album 10/10, and had these things to say:

"Pure entertainment..." "One could close one's eyes and be in the Mississippi Delta on an old fashioned paddle steamer..." "The tracks are well ordered, fluctuating between slow and melodic and fiery and furiously fast..." "They are crazy guys and this comes across on the CD. It is produced so well it almost seems as if they are in the room with you."

Here are a few samples from the album, which is now available on iTunes.
