The USS Requin is a 1940's era Navy submarine that is part of the permanent exhibit at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I was commissioned to create original sound effects for a brand new exhibit inside the submarine. The sound was meant to convey what it would have been like to live and work on the Requin when it was fully operational. (Click to read a review from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

I made a library of sound effects from scratch (using my dishwasher and bathtub and other interesting things) and provided it to the exhibit designers, who then used FMOD to mix the sounds in 5.1 surround. Here are some composite sound effects:
